Fast Emergency Standby Force

FRD has some 111 youth male and female in its Fast Emergency Standby Force (FESF). FESF Volunteers strengthen local communities through providing trainings on Disaster Risk Management (DRM) to be prepared and respond to any kind of disasters in their local communities. FESF Volunteers can be used for sharing information about specific disaster from the affected area/communities of donors, NGO’s and Governmental agencies. On 66 hours notice they can deploy anywhere in Afghanistan to support the Government, UN and other international organizations with humanitarian aid assistance operations, emergency relief operations, and human rights monitoring. FESF also aim to look further than the immediate need and work with communities on long-term sustainable development programs. FRD is a partner organization with TORQAID-Australia.
